I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password". We send a reset link to the email on your account.

If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. The email comes from our sending address, not from a person.

If you no longer have access to that email address, write to us and we will help you prove the account is yours.

If that does not settle it, this is one to send to us — write to hello@christianadultblocker.com or write to our inbox, because the answer depends on your own account.

How do I change my email or password?

Both live in Security and privacy, together with sign-in.

Changing either one asks for your current password first. That is deliberate: it means a borrowed or unlocked phone cannot be used to take your account.

How does the authenticator app (2FA) work?

With it on, signing in needs your password AND a six-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone.

You set it up by scanning a QR code. If you cannot scan, there is a "Can't scan?" button that shows a key you can type in instead.

When you turn it on we show you ten recovery codes. Save them somewhere that is not this phone. If you lose the authenticator, one of those codes is the only way back into your account.

Turning it off asks for a code first, and so does deleting your account while it is on.

I lost my authenticator and cannot sign in

On the code screen, tap "Lost your authenticator? Use a recovery code" and type one of the codes you saved when you turned it on.

That code lets you in and switches the authenticator off, because the thing that was guarding you is gone. Set it up again from Security and privacy once you have a new phone.

If you did not save your recovery codes, write to us. We will need to check the account is yours before we can help, and that takes longer.

If that does not settle it, this is one to send to us — write to hello@christianadultblocker.com or write to our inbox, because the answer depends on your own account.

Can I change my username?

Yes, once every 60 days. New usernames are reviewed before they go live, so it is not instant.

Please do not use your real full name. Other members can see it.

How do I delete my account?

Security and privacy has the option at the bottom. You will be asked for your password, and for an authenticator code if you have 2FA on.

Deleting signs you out and hides you from everyone straight away. Nothing is erased for 30 days.

If you change your mind inside those 30 days, just sign back in and everything comes back exactly as you left it — your streak, your journal, all of it. After 30 days it is gone for good and cannot be recovered.

One thing it does NOT do: it does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel that in the Play Store separately or it keeps billing.

Settings → Help has all of them, works offline, and does not leave a browser tab behind. Several of them open the exact screen being described.
